We are 1 month into 2012 and just a few days into the Year Of The Dragon. But Award Show season is in full swing! Yesterday the nominations for the Oscars were announced and the big movie is Hugo with 11 nominations and the Artist in a close 2nd with 10 nominations. It's time for the South Central Community Partnership 2011 Can of Food Matinee. Come see Kung Fu Panda 2 and The Smurfs on Saturday November 12th at the Twin Falls Cinema 12.

There are so many movie remakes coming up...actually too many to keep track of! It was just announced that a Point Break remake is in the works. But the remake I am paying attention to is Footloose. So far, I think it looks horrible. While I may be wrong, the new version of the theme song isn't helping my opinion.

I remember loving The Muppets Movies as a kid! So, I am very excited to see this new one scheduled for release in November!

Not like people's lives are important...I'm just gonna watch this movie and then take a nap, and those giant speeding jets will be just fine.

I actually really liked the first Monsters Inc movie...probably more than my kids.  So I am looking forward to the release of the next one in 2012.

My dad hates Smurfs...so I'll take him to see this movie :)

Warner Bros is making it a little easier to never have to leave your house.  They are offering The Dark Knight digital rentals through Facebook - and it still allows full Facebook functionality, so you can watch a movie and comment with all your online friends at the same time :)

Last night I watched Salt...it was ok, worth watching once.  There were no powerful/moving moments in it...so it didn't make this list :)  The finale of "ET" has been voted the Most Powerful Movie Moment in some new British poll.  If you don't see your favorite moment leave a comment...

Yesterday I judged Charlie Sheen for inviting a bunch of baseball players to his house to watch his old movie "Major League" - you remember Wild Thing, right?  I though he was either trying to relive his old days by making people watch him...but it turns out he just likes to role play (sorta) when he watches movies.

As with all good things, it seems, Hollywood is touching what shouldn't be touched again - SUPERMAN!
