I am not an old man set in my ways...but I am skeptical of things that seem too easy or obvious for me to have not been doing for the past 30 years. I just learned yesterday (apparently everyone else already knew it) that if you have a problem with always boiling over your water when cooking noodles, you simply put a wooden spoon over the pot and that fixes the problem! How and why - I have no idea. But it works. I was also told I could just turn down the heat, but where is the fun in that?

So how about these next few ideas? Go through the photos and let us know in the comments below if you have tried any of them and if they work.
