As children we are expected to sit and watch movies and just accept the fact that they are a movie and move on. But what about the movies that had gaping holes in the plot? Do the producers really think that no kid will notice this stuff? Below is a list of movies with plot holes so big you could fit an entire jumbo popcorn in with room for candy and a soda.  Here they are -

--"Toy Story":   Buzz Lightyear thinks he is a real space man...but whenever there is a human in the room he drops just like all the other toys. Why does he act like a toy if he is real?

--"Back to the Future":  Marty's mom doesn't recognize him in the future despite an obviously influential moment they had in the past?!  Wouldn't you remember a long lost love...especially if they look exactly like your son?

--"Waterworld":  So in Waterworld paper is one of the most valuable items, yet many of the characters smoke cigarettes rolled in paper. Wouldn't that be like actually burning money? And why is everybody dirty - there is water everywhere to clean yourself in.

--"The Santa Clause":  If the parents don't believe in Santa, where do they think the "Santa" presents come from?

--"Raiders of the Lost Ark":  Indiana Jones plays no impacting role in the film's events.  Even if he hadn't been there, the Nazis still would have gone to Nepal, taken the amulet to the map room, found the ark, and killed themselves at the end. All Indy did was cause fights and explosions.

--"Gremlins":  One of the rules for owning a Mogwai is "Don't feed them after midnight". What time zone are they referring to since it is always after (or before depending on how you want to look at it) midnight somewhere! Are the rules contingent on time zones?

--"Aladdin":  Aladdin's first wish is to be a prince, so he does the parade into the city and flaunts his wealth...then things go downhill with Jasmine. At the end of the movie he is again torn between wishing to become a prince or freeing the Genie. Does that mean the first wish didn't work...shouldn't that mean he gets a freebie? Or he could have let Jasmine use the genie and get more wishes that way.

--"Karate Kid":  The main rule is "No kicks to the face". Daniel wins the big fight with a kick to the face.

--"Harry Potter":  Hermoine has an amulet that allows the user to go back in time...yet when friends die or bad things happen - they never use it.

--"Jurassic Park":  I remember noticing this as a kid -  the T-Rex level with the fence when the power goes out, but when it pushes the car over the edge, there's a long drop to the ground?
