
AMBER ALERT: Abducted Utah Baby Could Be in Idaho, Be on the Lookout
UPDATE: Josephina Jimenez is no longer listed on the AMBER Alert website.
A child has been reported as abducted from a suburb of Salt Lake City and is considered in life-threatening danger.
The AMBER Alert was issued after the mother of the baby took her without permission.
‘Child’s Life In Danger’: AMBER Alert Issued For Abducted Utah Baby
The child is a 1-year-old baby named Josephina Jimienez, taken by 32-year-old Holly Angelina Smith.
Smith is Josephina’s mother who was ordered by a court to surrender custody. Smith is a white female, 5 foot 4, 100 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black ADIDAS pants, a light-colored sweater, and blue Vans shoes.
Josephina is a 1-year-old white baby girl with brown hair and eyes and was last seen wearing a brown onesie.
The Utah AMBER Alert website lists Josephina with the headline ‘Child’s Life In Danger!’ as authorities believe she is in imminent danger and could ‘sustain serious bodily injury or death’.
They were last seen in the Glendale area, possibly near the Jordan River Trail, and are believed to be on foot.

But detectives believe the family of Smith may be helping her hide. Knowing that, it’s possible that she has since been picked up by car and traveled further than possible by foot. There’s no indication she left the state, but those in surrounding states should be on the lookout as SLC is less than 2 hours from the Idaho border.
