Idaho Amber Alert Issued for 4-Year-Old Abducted Child

ORIGINAL STORY: An AMBER Alert has been issued in Idaho for a child abducted by an adult male.

Child Abduction in Idaho

The AMBER Alert was sent out on September 9th, 2024 around 1:30 PM. The child has been missing since yesterday, September 8th.The alert states:

Child abduction (Amber alert)
Amber Alert missing 4 year old Laney Landry. Last seen in a 2010 white Ford Escape Idaho Plates 1A LZN3U.
Suspect is a Rand Gruber, 55 year old male.
Male took the child after an argument with the mother to go artifact hunting in the area of Bachman Grade in Owyhee County, and did not return the child.
If located, contact 911.

Laney is a Black female, 4 years old, 3 feet 6 inches tall, and 35 pounds. She has brown curly hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans and a white t-shirt with hearts on it.

Gruber is a White male, 55 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and 200 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes. Gruber has no custodial rights to Laney and told the mother he would return the child at 7:30 PM yesterday..
