An Interesting Discussion With My Kids

Yesterday, we went on a drive to get out of the house for a bit since it was a dreary day and kids being cooped up in the house does not make for a very happy environment.  While we were driving Kylee (4 years old) said her finger was bleeding because she had pulled off a hangnail.  I told her not to pick at it or it will bleed more and she'll lose all her blood.  She said "what if I suck on the blood so it goes back into my body?"  I laughed - because in theory, that totally makes sense - and Titus had my back on the answer.  He told her that it does work because "that vampire Edward that mom likes drinks blood to live."  I decided to let them finish their interesting conversation without me - after all, they weren't fighting and they were using their "scientific" knowledge to make sense of life.
