If you didn't know it, April is all about Craft Beer here in the Gem State. April 1st launched, officially, "Idaho Craft Beer Month" and if you've been looking for a reason to enjoy a great craft beer brewed right here in the area--how is this for a great excuse to do so?

Just this weekend, I was trying to think of a great place with a patio for lunch. The sun on Saturday was dreamy--weather that we haven't seen here in the Treasure Valley in some time. My lunch guest doesn't drink and although he kicked and screamed about going to a brewery-- he was blown away by the food.  If you've been to Sockeye Brewing on Fairview Avenue before, you'll know exactly what I am talking about. That's the beauty of many local breweries-- they offer a whole lot more than just beer--although, that is, in my opinion, always the prize.

From light blonde ales to lagers that you can basically chew on, there's something for everyone in the LONG list of local breweries here in the Treasure Valley and across the State of Idaho. There are even Kombucha options for non-beer drinkers!

This week, on April 8th, "Pints Up" will be returning to several Idaho breweries where you can purchase an Idaho beer and keep a commemorative glass! To see a list of participating breweries for this, click HERE.

If you interested in just finding any breweries in the area that ARE locally owned and operated-- now is a great time to support them and you can find that (long) list, HERE.
