UPDATE: Two Dead in Motorhome Crash in Southern Idaho Monday

The Idaho State Police just posted a news release for a fatal accident that happened on Monday morning north of Arco, Idaho. The crash involved two vehicles, an SUV and a motorhome.

Two From Idaho Dead in Collision With Motorhome From California on Monday

This morning, we shared a post covering each accident the Idaho State Police had reported over the weekend. There were 5 accidents at that time with 8 people injured, but no fatalities were reported. The ISP have now shared details of one deadly crash.

The accident happened on Monday morning, a few minutes after 10 AM, on a section of US93 north of Arco, near mile marker 104.

• A 2022 Allegro Motorhome, driven by a 73-year-old-male out of Oak View, California, was traveling southbound on US93.
• A 2000 GMC Yukon, driven by a 61-year-old male from Challis, Idaho, with a 58-year-old female passenger from Arco, Idaho, was turning onto US93 from N 4100 W.
• The driver of the GMC failed to yield and collided with the Allegro Motorhome.

The driver of the motorhome wasn’t injured in the crash, but both occupants of the SUV passed away at the scene of the accident. As of writing this, 8:30 PM on July 13th, the highway is still blocked in both directions so crews can clear and investigate the scene.

ISP also just released a report about a vehicle vs pedestrian accident, the second pedestrian involved accident in the last 3 days. A man was walking in the northbound lane of US95 near mile marker 307 in Nez Perce County, Central Idaho. The crash happened just after midnight on Monday. ISP reported:

• The male was struck by a 1994 Honda Accord driven by a 26-year-old male from Clarkston, WA, that had just merged onto the highway from Nez Perce Rd.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries for care.
