USA Today and Explored Planet both list the Four Corners Monument as the biggest tourist trap in the world. Reviews of the monument are mixed with 4 stars on Google, but even many positive reviews are critical of the site.

Many say it’s worth visiting if you are in the area and the scenery on the trip is better than the monument. You can expect to spend maybe 20 minutes at the park according to reviews. Also, admission is $8 and National Park passes are not accepted because the park is a Navajo Tribal Park. It also looks like there are more reviews of the vendors at the site than the monument itself.

To give a little credit to the site: at least people are smiling in their pictures at the monument.
