The weather forecast in Southern Idaho has been fickle this week. There have been days where it was supposed to snow and didn’t while other days were warm followed by freezing temperatures.
The latest weather forecast alert from the Weather Channel is for Boise from Friday night into Saturday afternoon.
The advisory begins at 9 PM Friday and is set to expire Saturday at Noon. Boise will be affected by the fog along with other sections of southwest and west central Idaho and southeast Oregon. The details of the fog advisory are:
WHAT...Visibility on quarter mile or less in dense fog.
WHERE...Portions of southwest and west central Idaho and southeast Oregon.
WHEN...From 9 PM MDT /8 PM PDT/ this evening to noon MDT /11 AM PDT/ Saturday.
IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
The Weather Channel suggests the use of headlights, driving slowly, and allowing additional distance between you and other cars if you are driving. Be extra careful if driving to or around Boise this weekend.
Other than the Dense Fog Advisory in Boise, no other weather alerts have been issued in Idaho for the weekend. Boise is expected to see highs in the 60s on Saturday and Sunday with a chance for rain Saturday evening.
Twin Falls should see similar temperatures in the 60s over the weekend and the return of rain on Monday. Snow is not in the forecast for Twin Falls or Boise in the next 10 days.
