California Man on the FBI Most Wanted List Since the Early 2000s Finally Caught
A California man who authorities have been looking for since the early 2000s has been captured. The man was on the FBI Most Wanted Terrorist List and has been on the run for more than 20 years.
The FBI has revealed that they were finally able to capture Daniel San Diego, who was indicted in 2004 for his alleged connection to 3 bombings that happened in 2003. 2 of the bombings happened in the San Francisco area and 1 happened in Pleasanton, in Alameda County.
The first 2 bombings happened about an hour apart from each other on August 28th, 2003 on the campus of a biotech company in Emeryville. The third attack, which used a bomb strapped with nails, happened on September 26th, 2003 at a nutritional products company in Pleasanton.
The attacks may have been due to Daniel’s ties to animal rights extremists and the beliefs regarding animals that come with living a vegan lifestyle. The capture announcement was made on November 26th, 2024, more than 20 years since the crimes were committed.
