Over the last seven days, the Idaho State Police have reported nine accidents on Idaho highways. The majority of the crashes happened in Southern Idaho, and four of them resulted in fatalities.

ISP also reported on a reckless motorcyclist who they clocked going 115 miles per hour in Canyon County. The rider was arrested, and the bike was impounded. Details on each of the fatal accidents reported by ISP can be found below in the order they were reported. They include:

  • Semi-Truck vs Car Accident Claims the Life of a Driver in Pocatello
  • Female Driver Killed in Crash Near Caldwell
  • Male Driver Dies in Buhl After Crashing Through a Fence and Hitting a Tree

Each accident is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Fatal Highway Accident in Rupert on March 24th: Motorcycle Rider Killed

A 2-vehicle accident between a motorcycle and a car on State Highway 24 at mile marker 2 was reported by the Idaho State Police. The crash happened at 5:39 PM

A gray 2024 Toyota Camry, driven by a 22-year-old male, with a 49-year-old male passenger, both from Rock Springs, Wyoming, was driving northbound on W 200 S, attempting to turn westbound on State Highway 24.

A gray 2025 Kawasaki Motorcycle, driven by a 20-year-old male from Rupert, Idaho, traveling eastbound on State Highway 24, collided with the Camry.

The driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet but passed away at the scene of the accident. The occupants of the Camry were wearing seatbelts.

Fatal Crash Between an Idaho Car and a Utah Semi Truck in Pocatello on I15

On March 26th, ISP responded to a fatal crash between a sedan and a semi-truck. The accident happened at 7:12 AM on Interstate 15 at mile marker 69.

A 2002 Nissan Altima, driven by a 69-year-old male from Pocatello, was traveling northbound on Interstate 15.

A 2023 Freightliner semi-truck and trailer, driven by a 39-year-old male from Utah, was traveling southbound on Interstate 15.

The Nissan Altima left the roadway, crossed through the median, and collided with the semi-truck head-on.

The driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seat belt and passed away.

A fatal crash on I84 in Caldwell involving a wrong-way driver was reported by the Idaho State Police on March 28th, a few minutes after 1 AM.

A red 2006 Mazda 6, driven by a 47-year-old female from Caldwell, Idaho, was eastbound in the westbound lanes of travel near milepost 27.

The Mazda collided head-on with a gray 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 21-year-old female from Caldwell, Idaho.

The Mazda driver passed away, and the driver of the Jeep was taken to a local hospital.

Fatal Truck Accident in Southern Idaho in Twin Falls County

The final fatal accident of the weekend was reported early on Monday morning, at 4:22 AM, on US30 at mile marker 198.

A 29-year-old male from Buhl was driving a 2025 Ram 1500 eastbound on US30.

The Ram 1500 went off the left shoulder, through a fence, and came to rest after it struck a tree.

The driver was not wearing his seat belt and passed away at the scene of the crash.
