The rumors, you can read below, have been confirmed. The Golden Corral Buffet & Grill in Twin Falls is permanently closed. Contrary to other rumors - there is no proof that In-N-Out will take the Golden Corral location.

ORIGINAL STORY: There are reports that the Golden Corral buffet restaurant in Twin Falls has closed.

While the company hasn’t released any information there are comments from (now previous) employees sharing their experience and knowledge of the closure.

Why Did Golden Corral Close in Twin Falls?

According to reports and comments from the employees of Golden Corral, the closure came as a complete surprise. Members of the community have also expressed their opinions about the closure.

We reached out to the restaurant but the phone went straight to a dial tone and we are waiting for an email response from their corporate team. Their website still lists the location as open.

According to comments from employees, they say:

• Corporate Closed us down today…might be getting torn down and something else will be built there.
• Yes and all of us employees are very sad. We were a tight group of coworkers.
• This is such bull all of us employees that work there. We all worked hard and we were all a close group and they couldn’t do us the favor of telling us in advance. I’ve worked there as a waitress for three years and I’m so sad and mad that I wasn’t even given the opportunity to tell my regulars goodbye.
• Just started a week ago and now I gotta find another job. This sucks!
• I heard they are going to build a raising caines there. Idk. I guess corporate sold the property. None of us knew till today.

Other comments suggest that the property was either sold or the contract ended and wasn’t renewed.

We will stay in contact with Golden Corral and update this story if we get any new information. We are looking to see if they will tell us why they closed, is it permanent, and will they reopen in another location in town. There are Golden Corral restaurants in Boise, Coeur d'Alene, and Nampa.
