Did Raising Cane’s Apply for a Prime Location in Twin Falls, ID

It turns out that some rumors online can be true. Among the speculations about what would take the place of the recently vacated Golden Corral restaurant, someone was possibly right.

There are conflicting reports between our public records request from the City of Twin Falls and the Public Information Officer, Josh Palmer, about an application request to purchase the property being made.

Has Raising Cane’s Applied for a Lot Purchase in Twin Falls

The city application, according to KMVT via Josh Palmer, was made by Raising Cane’s to purchase the Golden Corral property. But our own request for public records about raising Cane's purchasing the location or planning to open came back with:

The City of Twin Falls does not have any records on the sale of or possible interest in this property, as it is privately owned. 

We submitted a follow-up question asking if any business had applied at that location or if Raising Cane's was interested in Twin Falls at all. We'll update the story here when we hear back from the city.

Raising Canes Rumors Swirl: Twin Falls Anticipates New Dining Option

No other information is available at this time on the purchase or plans. As we know with In-N-Out Burger, an application does not mean the idea has been approved. Raising Cane’s was on a recent list of the top restaurants we need in the Magic Valley.

There are no Raising Cane’s locations open in Idaho, yet. The first Idaho location was announced earlier this year for Meridian. The 2,862-square-foot restaurant was announced in April with plans to start construction in early 2025 and open by the end of that year. Prior to April, rumors of the restaurant chain coming to Idaho had been swirling for months.

According to the Twin Falls County Parcel map, the Golden Corral location at 1823 Blue Lakes Blvd. Is owned by Jeffrey W. Casey with a mailing address in Meridian.

The property is 1.38 acres and valued at $2,388,033.
