TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-Several Idaho airports, including two in the Magic Valley, will get a piece of $520.5 million from the federal government for infrastructure improvements.

The Federal Aviation Administration announced 13 airports in the Gem State will get $5.2 million for safety and infrastructure improvements. The Buhl Municipal Airport will get $600,000 for repairs to a taxiway and build a new taxiway, while the Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey will get three separate grants, $75,000 for an airport-related environmental assessment/plan study, $300,000 to fund a study and $855,112 for sealing the taxi lane and apron surface and to purchase snow removal equipment.

The airport in Twin Falls, Joslin Field Magic Valley Regional Airport, will get $562,500 to update the airport master plan. Other airports to get grants include the Boise Air Terminal/Gowen Field Airport, Cascade Airport, Driggs-Reed Memorial Airport, Idaho County Airport, Orofino Municipal Airport, Bear Lake County Airport, Rexburg-Madison County Airport, St. Maries Municipal Airport, and Weiser Municipal Airport.
