Man From Washington Hit and Injured By a Car in Idaho Falls, ID

Idaho State Police are investigating the circumstances that led to a man from Washington walking on a busy Idaho highway to be hit by a car.

The accident happened on June 23 in the early evening on Interstate 15, near Idaho Falls.

Washington Man Hit By Car in Idaho Falls Sent to Hospital

The ISP aren’t sure why the man was walking down the busy interstate at 6:41 PM near mile marker 115 south of Idaho Falls.

• A 26-year-old male from Menan, Idaho, was driving a 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan northbound.
• A 58-year-old male from Ocean Park, Washington, was in the lane of travel.
• The Volkswagen and the pedestrian collided.
• The 58-year-old male was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for serious injuries.

The driver of the Volkswagen was not injured in the accident.

Idaho State Police are looking for information regarding the accident. If you were in the area of I-15 and Sunnyside Road at the time of the accident, June 23rd, around 6:40 PM, please contact the police if you saw anything or have video that led up to the incident.

ISP are currently investigating an accident where a driver experienced a medical emergency and crashed in northern Idaho. The driver passed away while his passenger didn't require medical attention.
