The 2026 Idaho Regatta is coming up over the final weekend of June in Southern Idaho. The event has been happening for 51 years, counting this year, and brings in boaters and viewers from all around the country.

The regatta includes a show and shine, boat parade, and two days of races, and you have a chance to win tickets below.

Everything You Need to Know About the 2026 Idaho Regatta

The Idaho Regatta is Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, on the Snake River in Burley. On Friday evening at 5, there will be a show and shine event at the Best Western Plus Burley Inn and Convention Center, where visitors can check out the boats and meet the drivers. Saturday morning, there will be a parade of boats as they are transported to the Golf Course Boat Ramp for the races.

Tickets can only be purchased for $20 per adult (kids 10 and under are free) at the event and are not available for purchase online. But you can win them online: make sure you enter here for a pair of tickets to get you into either day of the regatta.

What Does the Idaho Regatta Look Like?

There are a lot of great spectator videos of the regatta over the years, but my favorites are the first-person views of the drivers. This one shows the ‘track’ and the speed of the boat as the driver competes. These boats are almost planes - because they fly across the water.

Idaho roads are a constantly changing landscape, especially near Burley right now. People attending the Idaho Regatta will encounter closed roads, detours, and lots of orange cones. In a post on social media from the Idaho Regatta organizers, they give suggestions on the best way to get to the event.

If boats aren’t your thing, the Boise Music Fest is also that weekend, and you can win tickets here.
