Here's a sign of the times we live in. You used to have to get a job and save money to pay your way through college. Now, it is easier (and sometimes more profitable) to create a crowd-sourcing plea and see if internet users will pay your way through life.

Wikipedia defines Crowd-Sourcing as

...when individuals or organizations use contributions from internet users to obtain needed services or ideas.

Basically it's begging for money online. I've seen a lot of GoFundMe requests that are legit. Mostly those are when a family member has unexpected medical bills. But you can crowd-source anything. I've seen 'help me buy a new car', 'help me buy a guitar', and quite a few 'help me pay for college'.

There are 106 people in Idaho currently crowd-sourcing for college funds.
