As Americans, we expect a few freedoms that come with living in the greatest nation in the world. Clean water. Freedom of speech. The right to shop for Labubu knockoffs in your underpants while you're supposed to be attending a Zoom meeting.

You know, those freedoms.

It's that last one we're concerned about today.

What's going on with Amazon, and how does this directly affect me?

Well, if you live alone and have no friends or family, you're good! You're off the hook. Have a great day.

For the rest of us, Amazon is undergoing a major policy change that could quite possibly affect your household.

As of October 1st, Amazon will eliminate it's policy where Prime members can share their free shipping benefits with someone not at the same address. If you're someone who enjoys that benefit, or shares it with someone else, one of the two of you is going to end up paying for another Prime membership.

By the way, if you're shopping for one, currently Amazon's membership fee for Prime is $14.99 per month, or $139 annually.

Not just a couple cents. This policy is going to upset a lot of people, we think.

Now you don't feel so silly for having no friends, do you?

Ope! Did you just complete the order on that cart you've been filling up on Amazon for days? Yeah. About that.

You may want to check and make sure that none of the items are on this list of recalled goods from Amazon that've been sold here in Idaho.
