Halloween is fast approaching. While the calendar is still weeks away from October, this time of year often flies by. The spooky holiday is one that many anticipate every year, and not only because of trick-or-treating, the decorations, and the costumes. Those are all fun, but many events take place each year, making this one of the best times of the year. The weather is better, the days are shorter, and when it gets dark, the real fun begins. Many people enjoy getting scared and visiting haunted attractions during the Halloween season, and soon, one of the best in the entire state of Idaho will be open for the 2025 season.

Each Halloween season, residents of the Magic Valley enjoy going out to haunted mazes, attractions, and getting spooked on the weekends. One of the best haunted attractions in the Magic Valley is the Haunted Swamp. Each year, people wait for it to open to get out and have some scary fun. The time is almost here as The Haunted Swamp will be opening on Friday, September 18, and is located at 646 S Park Ave W in Twin Falls. For opening night, tickets are buy one get one free, and on Saturday, September 20, if you bring a canned food item, it will be donated to Valley House, and your ticket will only cost $15 instead of $22.

The Haunted Swamp is celebrating its 18th year this year, and tickets are $28 at the door for those 12 and older and $27 if you buy online in advance. Children 8 to 11 are $20, and kids 3 to 7 are $17. It is important to note that The Haunted Swamp may not be suitable for all ages and children. If your child does not like spooky things, it may not be for them. If so, a perfect time to take them is on Saturday, October 18, from 11 AM to 3 PM, when The Haunted Swamp hosts Kiddie Day. Tickets are $12 on this day, and this is the best time to bring little kids, as the scary and spooky attractions are turned off for the little ones to enjoy the swamp and get some candy. They can also play on the bounce pad, play games, and dress up. They are only open on Fridays and Saturdays, with the first ticket being able to be purchased at 7:30 PM and the last ticket being sold at 11 PM.
