Co-workers can be a real drag. They can also become incredible friends for life if you're lucky enough to win them over.

There are some telltale signs to watch for that those you share the staff break room with would rather see another employee assume your duties as quick as possible.

I've had some real doozies when it comes to co-workers over my more than three decades of employment. Egotistical, annoying, backstabbing, micromanaging, loud, toxic, and even smelly, but I can honestly say I've never plotted against any of them in an effort to get them tossed from the building.

Business Insider shared what they believe are surefire signs that your fellow "team" members want you out of the company picture entirely, and you might see it in their faces.

According to BI, a lack of direct eye contact and the absence of pleasant expressions (smiling) are two big signs those around you on the clock want you gone. People who have a habit of not acknowledging you--or completely avoiding you--are a couple more indications of their unhappiness toward working with you.

The truth is, it's a very small percentage of co-workers that will have your back in times of professional need. I think it's safe to say it's all about self-advancement for 95 percent of staffers, and maybe that's smart of them.

Never allow yourself to be bullied at work, and stand your ground if need be.
