
5 Injured and 1 Killed: Three Accidents Reported in Jerome County on Monday
On the first day of June, Idaho State Police reported three separate serious accidents in Southern Idaho in Jerome County. Two of the accidents were less than two miles apart on Interstate 84 in the morning and the third happened late at night on a different highway, north of Jerome.
Four people were injured in the I84 accidents. One person was injured and another passed away in the third accident. Each of the accidents is being investigated by ISP, with details listed below.
Three Accidents Reported in Jerome County on Monday: 5 Injured and 1 Killed
In the report from the Idaho State Police, we learn that the fatal accident happened around 11:08 PM on June 1st on US93 at the E 700 N (S Lincoln Ave) intersection.
- A silver 2002 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 40-year-old female from Shoshone, Idaho, was traveling northbound on US Highway 93.
- A white 2002 Ford F150 driven by a 66-year-old female from Buhl, Idaho, was heading eastbound on E 700 N.
The driver of the Ford failed to stop at the stop sign and crashed into the Chevrolet.
The driver of the Ford passed away at the scene of the accident and the driver of the Chevrolet was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital.

Another fatal accident was reported by the Idaho State Police over the final weekend of May, in Bonneville County. The accident happened on May 29th a few minutes before 7:30 PM on County Line Road at N 5th E Road near Idaho Falls. One person was killed in the crash and three others were injured.
- A black 2012 Nissan Sentra driven by a 32-year-old male from Bryan, Texas was heading east bound on County Line Rd. when it came to a stop sign before proceeding into the intersection.
- A Red 2004 Ford F250 driven by a 28-year-old female from Rigby, Idaho was driving southbound on N 5th E Rd. when it collided with the Nissan in the intersection.
- The Nissan had three other occupants: a 32-year-old female from Salt Lake City, Utah, a 70-year-old male, and 64-year-old female from India.
The driver of the Ford did not require medical transport. The driver and two passengers in the Nissan were taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance. The male passenger in the Nissan was not wearing a seatbelt and passed away at the scene of the accident.
