If you have kids and you want to take them out to Halloween events, but don’t want them to stay up all night terrified or having nightmares, this is the weekend to take them to one of the best Halloween attractions in Idaho.

The Haunted Swamp is hosting a day for kids where they can go in costume, get candy, and not be traumatized for the rest of their lives by scary props.

Kiddie Day at the Haunted Swamp in Twin Falls

The Haunted Swamp is one of the most terrifying outdoor experiences you can have in Idaho. Each year, the swamp changes as the owners add new scary props and actors. The walk through the swamp is one mile of terror. But on Saturday, you can take your kids (or the friends who are too afraid to go during a haunted night) for the Kiddie Day without the scares.

Kiddie Day is October 18th, 2025, from 11 AM to 3 PM. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased in advance online. Kiddie Day includes a trick-or-treat experience through the swamp, games and face painting, pictures with Disney princesses, martial arts and cheer demonstrations, and a kids’ craft market.

The Haunted Swamp opened on September 18th and will be open each Friday and Saturday through November 1st. Ticket prices range from $17 to $28, depending on age, and fast passes are available for $10.

Another great option in Twin Falls for a non-terrifying and extremely fun experience is Tubbs Berry Farm and Pumpkin Patch with the famous straw bale maze. Tubbs’ is just a little further down the road from the Haunted Swamp, and they are open every day except Sundays through November 1st.

Don’t forget to send us pictures of your pets in Halloween costumes for the Valley View Veterinary Clinic Halloween Pet Photo Contest. Here are some of the previous winners.

2024 Valley View Veterinary Clinic Halloween Pet Photo Contest Finalists

We had a lot of great submissions this year for the pet photo contest, and some didn’t make the cut only for failure to follow the submission rules, like including people in the pictures, sending blurry pictures, or adding 'stickers' and graphics to the picture. These are the ones who did it right and deserve your votes.
