A meteorologist in Utah has been sharing videos of a massive ball of light in the sky that was caught on vehicle dash cams in Idaho and Utah. And no, it wasn’t the sun.

It was a huge meteor that was reportedly seen in states across the Pacific Northwest and more.

Massive Meteor Seen in Utah, Washington, and Idaho Caught on Camera

There are 2 videos of the meteor, and it looks like the video from Idaho Falls is much closer to the source than the footage from Salt Lake City. You can see each video below.

The meteorologist, Matt Johnson from KSL, believes the massive meteor might be ‘part of the tail end of the Lyrid Meteor Shower’. The footage was recorded around 9:30 PM on May 3rd.

Reports say that the meteor was seen in Canada, Washington, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, and Idaho. The social media post says witnesses in Yellowstone heard a loud boom and crackling around the time of the meteor sighting.
