New Miss Idaho Born 120 Mi From Twin Falls; Worked At St. Luke’s
There is a new face representing the state of Idaho that many people may not be familiar with. The newest Miss Idaho USA has been crowned, and her resume is impressive to say the least.
The Miss USA pageant is now in its 70th year. Female representatives from all 50 states enter the event annually aspiring to wear the crown. Miss USA winners not only get nationwide exposure, but also receive $50,000 in scholarship money.
The 2022 Idaho winner is Jordana Dahmen. Dahmen is from Boise and loves science. She earned a degree in biology from Washington State University in 2017, according to her bio. She also has worked as a chemistry tutor, laboratory research assistant, and was a regulatory coordinator for St. Luke's Health System from 2019 to 2021.
Dahmen has over 3,400 followers on Twitter, in which you can follow her progress as the Idaho Miss USA representative for the new year. She takes the reigns from Katarina Schweitzer, who wore the crown for the Gem State in 2021.
Aside from the scholarship money and crown, the annual Miss USA winner also gets paid to make promotional appearances, both in the U.S. and abroad, and receives complimentary fashion and cosmetic products. The Idaho beauty queen will be making the rounds throughout the Gem State this year, and is a terrific representative for Idahoans.
We congratulate Jordana Dahmen on being crowned Miss Idaho USA, and wish her success in her future. She will no doubt make Idaho proud.
