Idaho Ranked As One Of The States Least Prepared For AI Advancements
I hate running, so races are not on my list of hobbies or things I’d like to do, but some races are inevitable. And the Artificial Intelligence race is one that isn’t slowing down, and it’s a race we don’t want to lose.
We’ve seen the movies and read the books: if you lose to AI, that’s when the robots take over.

In a data map from Brainly and Datawrapper, Idaho is ranked 47th in the nation for states ready to win the AI race. At least Idaho wasn’t ranked 51st. That honor/dishonor goes to Alaska, followed by West Virginia, Maine, and Louisiana. The data is a year old, and we have grown some since then, but it's likely the leading states shave also grown and left us behind.
We do have to give props to our I-15 southbound neighbors in Utah for being ranked 3rd on the list. Maybe our robot overlords will take pity on us due to proximity to the Beehive State.
In the meantime, if you are employed in one of these jobs, it may be getting close to time to look at other options.
