My wife is the Queen of calorie counting - she knows the caloric value (?) of everything from a single chocolate chip to a full pasta meal. I on the other hand am still not sure what calories are or how many I eat a day. Which to me is OK since a new study found that counting calories is a waste of time...kind of. With today's technology and better nutritional labels on food it's easier than ever to count calories if you're trying to lose weight. That bad news is that it means you're counting calories every time you eat. The study found that over your lifetime, it's about 338 days - yeah, almost an entire year of counting calories.

I am not against calorie counting because it is good to know that you have had enough food each day, but I say it is a waste of time because wouldn't you be better served if you spent those 338 days actually working out? What do you think?
