Southern Idaho Memorial Day Weekend Bucket List
First of all - though it isn't possible to adequately express the gratitude we have towards those who have fought and died in the service of our country - we say thank you!
The weekend is much more than an extra day off work to play. It's an extra day to enjoy our freedom as Americans. So go out there, have fun, and be safe! Here are 5 suggestions for spending your time.
- 1
First Federal Splash Pad
Saturday the 28th from 1-4pm is the Grand Opening of the new First Federal Splash Pad! This will be a great way to get outdoors and have a ton of fun - plus free food and prizes. Don't forget to bring a towel.
- 2
Camping (of course)
For the majority of people in Idaho this is a weekend to go camping! That also means there may be a shortage of camp sites in the more popular areas. So make your plans and then have a backup campsite nearby.

Visit Shoshone Falls
If you do stay in town but still want to get out and enjoy mother nature - Shoshone Falls is always a great option. Not only does this get you out in the sun but right now the water is really flowing!

BBQ
I love eating BBQ! I'm also terrible at cooking it. Thanks goodness we have some great local BBQ restaurants. If you have the skill though and BBQ at your house - try not to do it like these guys...

Visit A Military Memorial
There are a lot of large Military Memorials in Idaho. There are even a few smaller nice ones in Twin Falls. The Vietnam War Memorial in the Twin Falls City Park includes the names of 17 local men who lost their lives in the war.
