Idaho Teen on Motorcycle Crashes After Driving 75 MPH in a 25MPH
According to the Idaho State Police report, the initial cause of the traffic stop was due to ‘no visible license plate’ on the motorcycle. The teen rider refused to comply and fled off at speeds around 75 miles per hour in a 25-mile-per-hour zone.
Not having a visible plate often comes with a verbal warning or an infraction. Fleeing law enforcement and reckless driving, both of which the teen was charged with, are much more serious charges.
The driver of the motorcycle was a 17-year-old male from Boise and he was booked into juvenile detention after fleeing and crashing his bike.

The incident happened on Fairview Avenue near North Records Avenue, where the speed limit is posted as 40 near The Village Mall, and likely entered nearby subdivisions where the speed limit would drop to 25 as stated in the Police Report.
