The 5 Best Christmas Light Displays In Idaho
Bear with me for a moment. I know there are those who say that you have to wait until Thanksgiving is over before you start the Christmas prep. That you can't put up your Christmas lights and decorations until the turkey dinner is gone and Christmas in the Nighttime Sky is over. I say that if you wait until after Thanksgiving to put up your outdoor decorations then you are doing it wrong. Right now is the best time to prep. I am also the guy who still has a few strands of Christmas lights up on my fence and over my garage. In my defense though, they are led light strips and change colors so I can make them match holidays throughout the year. Yes, I'm justifying my laziness in taking down the decor. But you can have them up and you don't have to turn them on yet but the weather is so much more appropriate for outdoor roof climbing than it will be in December.

Another option and I don't actually recommend this, is to go minimal in your decorating so it is easy up and down. Then when you need a blast of Christmas cheer you can visit some of the other more decorated houses around the Magic Valley. We are lucky here to have quite a few great light displays each year. The lights at Curry Crossing, Twin View Lane, and in the South Hills are must-see displays each year. If you are wanting to make an adventure out of it you can check out the list of the 11 best Christmas light displays in Idaho at the Only In Your State website. Their list doesn't include the South Hills lights which seems wrong, but here are five of the highlights not in Twin Falls:
- Caldwell Winter Wonderland Festival
- Idaho Falls Festival Of Lights
- Boise Christmas Light Trolley Tours
- Sun Valley Winter Wonderland Festival
- Boise Winter Garden aGlow
