I have 1 cell phone, and I really don't use it that much. I don't answer more calls than I actually answer. And I just started texting a few years ago. Only 12 or 13 years ago, it was rare when someone had a cell phone.  Now they've actually overtaken the American people.

According to the Wireless Association trade group, there are now more active cell phones in this country than PEOPLE. The U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands have a total population of 315.5 million . . . and a total cell phone population of 327.6 million.

They also found that the number of people switching from regular cell phones to smartphones went up 57% in the last year . . . and average cell phone bills and minutes used have basically stayed the same.
