There were 2 accidents on Idaho roads on Wednesday involving motorcycles. One of them was fatal near the Wyoming border and the other was a serious accident in Twin Falls.

Idaho State Police are investigating both of the accidents.

Motorcycle vs Pickup Truck in Twin Falls

Wednesday afternoon ISP responded to an accident around 4:15 on Pole Line Road at Bridgeview Boulevard. The police blog shares the following information:

A white 2009 Honda ST1300 Motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Pole Line Road East when a blue 2016 Ford F-150 Pickup was traveling westbound on the same road, attempting to turn southbound onto Bridgeview Boulevard. While turning left, the Ford Pickup, driven by a 41-year-old female from Buhl, failed to yield the right of way and was struck by the Honda motorcycle, driven by a 29-year-old male from Shoshone.

The motorcyclist was transported via air ambulance to a local hospital in Pocatello.

The rider of the motorcycle was wearing a full-face helmet and the driver of the Ford Pickup was wearing her shoulder and lap seat belt at the time of the crash.

The accident blocked the intersection for about 3 hours while emergency responders helped those involved and cleared the scene. ISP were assisted by Twin Falls Police, Twin Falls Fire Department, and Magic Valley Paramedics.

Motorcyclists Killed in Southern Idaho Accident

A fatal second motorcycle crash happened Wednesday evening east of Irwin at 8:12 PM. The accident occurred in Bonneville County on US26 at milepost 391.5.

A 47-year-old male from Victor, was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound and failed to negotiate the curve.

The rider was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injuries on scene.

ISP were assisted by the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.
