Recent studies show that Idaho is ranked 12th in the nation for suicide and it’s the 2nd leading cause of death for ages 10 to 44. KMVT shared a story early this year comparing suicide deaths from 2022 compared to 2023 to show how much of an issue this really is. In all of 2022 there were 21 suicides in Twin Falls County and by June 5th of this year there had already been 14. That is 14 deaths too many. 14 deaths that possibly could have been avoided.
