One of the best meteor showers of the year is coming soon, and this year is going to be even more special. This August, there will be double the amount of meteors at the peak of the Perseid shower.

Currently, Earth is passing through the tail of the comet Swift-Tuttle and will continue to go through August 24th. The peak of the Perseid meteor shower will be the morning of August 12th and you should be able to see up to 200 shooting stars per hour. Best viewing time will be after the moon sets.

Maybe if you decide to get in one last camping trip before school starts, you'll get a better view of this beautiful celestial show.
