Identities Revealed in Tragic Bus Crash Near Yellowstone That Claimed Seven Lives

On May 1st, 2025, near Yellowstone National Park, there was a deadly accident between 2 vehicles that claimed the lives of 7 people.

Idaho State Police have released several updates regarding the cause of the crash and the vehicles involved. Still, the identities of those killed and some details of the accident have remained a mystery.

Until today. Idaho State Police have now issued their final update on the tragic accident.

Identities of Those Killed in Fiery Idaho Car Accident Revealed By Idaho State Police

The accident happened on the first day of May around 7:15 PM, near Henry’s Lake on US 20. A tour bus was headed to Yellowstone National Park when a pickup truck crossed into their lane and they collided head-on. The reports state that the bus caught fire after the accident.

There were 14 people in the Mercedes tour bus and one person, the driver, in the Ram truck. Of the 15 people involved, 7 died in the accident. All other occupants were transported for medical care.

In the update today from the ISP, the names, ages, and nationalities of the fatalities have been released.

• Jianping Li, age 71, of Guangxi, China
• Li Nie, age 64, of Arcadia, California, USA
• Aifeng Wan, age 53, of Arcadia, California, USA
• Xiaoming Jiang, age 66, of Guilin, Guangxi Province, China
• Yu Zhang, age 30, of Eastvale, California, USA (identified as the van’s driver)
• Isaih Moreno, age 25, of Humble, Texas, USA (previously identified as the Dodge Ram driver)

Authorities are still investigating the accident to possibly determine what caused the truck to veer into the lane of the tour van.
