This may come as a surprise, but not all toiletry products work as we wish they would. This does not mean that you should stop taking care of yourself, but it is pretty crazy that quite a few of the cleaning products do the opposite of what they are supposed to do. Check out the list of 5 bathroom products in Twin Falls homes that don't work.

Acne Cleansers.  Your skin is already irritated so rubbing and grinding it with chemicals and sandpaper-like products is not going to help. Serious acne problems may need antibiotics.  Regular acne can usually be taken care of if you wash two or three times a day with warm water, or mild soap.

Mouthwash That Contains Alcohol.  As much as you would like this to be true - the alcohol in mouthwash isn't for killing bacteria.  It keeps the ingredients mixed.  Otherwise, your breath would be fantastic when you're drunk. A better strategy is to floss and brush often and that includes your tongue. If you still want to use a mouthwash use alcohol-free so it doesn't dry your mouth out.

Exfoliating Creams.  They actually make you age faster!  Peeling off that top layer of skin does look better at first, because it's new skin. It is also very vulnerable skin which means you'll have more sun damage, and more wrinkles later.

Cuticle Trimmers.  Your cuticles protect you from infection.  If you cut them to make your fingers look pretty, they might end up with nail fungus or other nasty conditions...which is not pretty.

Shampoo.  In reality, you can't do anything to truly 'revitalize' your hair since it is dead cells. Unless you have some magical resurrection shampoo all you are doing is stripping your hair's natural protection. Then you use conditioner to replace the stuff you just stripped off and make it soft and shiny again. Your best bet is to just wash with water, or use shampoo as little as possible.
