If you love Halloween, then you live in the perfect state for it. Because the Gem State is home to one of the best cities in the US for celebrating Halloween.

The Best Place to Celebrate Halloween in ID

In a recent story from Chicco USA where they scoured the internet for information and statistics on the best places for trick-or-treating across the United States, they gave one of the top spots to a city in Idaho. And it isn’t just one of the good cities - they put Boise in the top 5 best places for trick-or-treating in the US!

So, why Boise? We know that Boise is one of the safest cities in the country and the safest in the state, but it has many other factors making it ideal for Halloween fun.

The methodology used by Chicco includes 13 ranking factors which include how many kids are in the area, a walk score, the number of candy and Spirit Halloween stores there are, the average size of yards (for more decorations?), general interest in Halloween and Trick-or-Treating, and how much money people spend on candy.

Boise ranked among the highest in general interest and money spent on candy but low on the young population percentage and the walk score. The walk score helps people looking for an apartment know if an area is easy to travel in without a vehicle which can also be helpful on Halloween night for kids walking around begging for candy.
