I’m not an engineer, but I’ve seen enough amazing and strange architectural creations in Idaho to know that pretty much any idea you can think of is possible.

Almost to prove my point, someone in Southern Idaho decided they wanted to build a house that looked like a gigantic flower pot. And it is awesome.

The Burley Flower Pot is now an Airbnb rental that came about because someone had a dream and the drive to make it happen. They also had a little help from Airbnb as their idea won the Airbnb OMG Fund contest. On Instagram, you can see the process of how the house was built and the creative engineering that took place to make it happen.

The Flower Pot may be the cutest house in Idaho, but it isn’t the strangest. The Big Idaho Potato Hotel is unique and the Dog Bark Hotel is a memorable structure, but my favorite house in Idaho is still the massive Sun Valley Starship that was listed for sale a few years ago for around $6 million.
