Access to the Most Popular Trail in Twin Falls, ID, Temporarily Closed
There are many beautiful trails around Twin Falls, Idaho, but the most popular has to be the Canyon Rim Trail.
With views of and access to the Snake River Canyon, Perrine Bridge, the Evel Knievel Jump Site, Perrine Coulee Falls, Centennial Park, Federation Point, Pillar Falls, and the Shoshone Falls Park, the Canyon Rim Trail is an easily accessible adventure.
Why Canyon Rim Trail Access in Twin Falls, ID, Will Be Limited
The City of Twin Falls has announced that access to the trail will be limited for the next four months while a construction project improves parking and landscaping at one of the entrances.
The trailhead at Poleline and Eastland, across from the LDS Temple, will be closed until the Spring of 2026 while crews build the new Canyon Trail Junction. There will be no parking at the trailhead or along the road.
The trail will still be accessible, but you’ll have to enter at one of the other trailheads and viewpoints, which include:
- Federation Point
- The Evel Knievel Jump Site
- Canyon Crest
- The Shoshone Falls Park
- Twin Falls Visitor Center
- Sportsman’s Warehouse
You can also access the trail pretty much anywhere between the Twin Falls Visitor Center and Sportsman’s Warehouse if you park in one of the parking lots on either side of the Perrine Bridge.
