Huge Drug Bust in Idaho Falls this Week by ISP
A drug bust on December 12th in Southern Idaho by the Idaho State Police was a significant step in the fight against illegal substances in Idaho.
Drug Bust in Idaho Falls This Week Includes Meth, Coke, and Fentanyl
Idaho State Police reported the huge drug bust Thursday evening in a press release, but the actual seizure of the illegal drugs happened on December 12th in Idaho Falls. The drugs were found during a traffic stop :
On December 12th, DHE troopers conducted a traffic stop near Idaho Falls. Suspicious behavior was observed during the stop, and a thorough vehicle search was conducted. The results were the discovery and seizure of significant amounts of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia:
- Methamphetamine - 2.7 pounds
- Cocaine - 2.7 pounds
- Fentanyl - over 5,300 pills
- Drug paraphernalia
The Idaho State Police Domestic Highway Enforcement team was assisted by the Idaho Falls Police Department during the bust.
Drugs Were Also Seized in Coeur d’Alene, Pocatello, and the Treasure Valley
A separate large drug bust happened recently in Coeur d’Alene where police seized almost 1 and a half pounds of meth. 400 Fentanyl pills along with 2 guns were confiscated in Pocatello. Another incident in Coeur d’Alene yielded nearly 4,800 pills and about a pound of meth was seized in the Treasure Valley headed towards Twin Falls.
