Kids pay attention and stop being jerks to your parents! A new study has found that the average teenager (you are average even though your mom says you are special) costs their parents $9,570 a year. Since we are all super good at math we know that from age 13 to 18 that total is $57,420! Most of that money goes toward food, so you are literally eating your parents out of house and home. The study also found having a teenager at home drives up the electric bill by $36 a month.
