An accident involving farm equipment was reported in Twin Falls on Wednesday afternoon. The accident sent two people to a local hospital.

The accident is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Sedan vs Farm Implement Hay Stacker Injury Accident Reported in Southern Idaho

The crash happened at the intersection of N 2500 E and E 3400 N, southwest of the city of Twin Falls, around 12:19 PM on June 3rd. A Ford Taurus sedan and a New Holland hay stacker truck were the two vehicles involved in the crash.

  • A 28-year-old male from Jerome was traveling southbound on N 2500 E in a 2006 Ford Taurus.
  • A 59-year-old male from Twin Falls was traveling westbound on E 3400 N in a New Holland hay-stacker truck.
  • The driver of the Ford Taurus failed to obey the stop sign and collided with the hay-stacker near the intersection.

Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt, and both were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with injuries. The driver of the hay truck was later taken by air ambulance to a different hospital.

The Idaho State Police has also shared news releases regarding the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer to encourage safer driving during the busy summer months in Idaho. Not only are there more personal vehicles on the roads, but there is also an increase in farm implements, vehicles towing recreation vehicles and boats, and even ATVs sharing the roads.
