Twin Falls Rotary After Hours is hosting a haunted Halloween maze with a Harry Potter theme. It is sure to be a ton of fun, but this fundraising event is about more than candy and costumes.

The Halloween Haunted Maze at Canyon Crest this Thursday is actually a fundraiser to help children attending our schools that may come across some struggles that we don't always think about. Did you know that the school districts and teachers will provide hygiene products to kids who need them? Yes, some children don't have their own hair brushes, tooth brushes and deodorant. This fundraiser is an attempt to help with some of those challenges that students face each day.

If you would like to help with the cause, the items that are in highest demand are shampoo, tooth paste and brushes, deodorant, disinfectant wipes, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, children's socks and 2 inch 3 ring binders.

The haunted maze is doubling as a school supply as well. Schools can never have enough school supplies. If we can get enough school supplies gathered some teachers wouldn't be inclined to spend their money to fill their classrooms. I remember when I was a kid I would lose my glue and scissors within the first month of school.

Admission into the haunted maze is either $3 per person or one item per person of school supplies or hygiene products. The maze runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Canyon Crest Event Center. There will be a couple different mazes that are aimed at children ages 2 to 10. Cookies will be provided at the end of the maze.
