Big Costco Change Has Finally Happened in ID, WA, and UT

For months, Costco customers have been teased about a big change that would be coming to the food court. Days went by, which turned into weeks, which turned into months, and no change took place. Customers were left scratching their heads, wondering if the announced change would truly take place or if it was a rumor that most believed. After months of teasing and anticipation, a big change has happened at Costco, and stores across Idaho, Washington, and Utah are finally seeing it happen.

If you have been to your local Costco recently and are wondering why Pepsi products are still available in the food court, you are not alone. At the beginning of the year, it was announced that Costco would be doing away with Pepsi and transitioning over to Coca-Cola products in the food court. Last week, we wrote a story telling you that stores were beginning to see the change and that it could happen any day or week in your local store. The time has come, and now many stores have made the change, and it happened quickly. If your store yesterday had Pepsi products, it might have Coca-Cola ones today. On Saturday, the Costco in Twin Falls, Idaho, had Pepsi, and by Monday, the transition was complete, and Coca-Cola now rules the food court.

There are those who will be upset to see the change as they are avid Pepsi lovers, and there are those who will be thrilled. With Coca-Cola having so many products, what options will be available from the fountain? If you look at the picture above, you will notice that regular Coca-Cola will be available, as well as Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Barq's Root Beer, and Minute Maid Lemonade. The fountain did a good job of offering similar options as Pepsi did, although the lack of any Fanta options is disappointing.

The wait is over, and the words are no longer rumors, as now it is Coca-Cola at the Costco food court or no drink at all. Are you excited to see the change, disappointed, or indifferent? Drinks will be 79 cents, although the better deal is still to get a hot dog with your drink for $1.50. Stop by your nearest Costco and enjoy some Coke with your meal in the food court the next time you go shopping.
