Now that Halloween is behind us and all that remains are a few candy wrappers - let's move on to Christmas! I am very much looking forward to Thanksgiving...but when it come to turkey themed music - the pickings are slim.

Since the new Christmas albums have already started streaming online and into stores - here are a few of the ones that may be worth checking out this year.

--"Cee Lo's Magic Moment", Cee Lo Green. A holiday album that includes his duet with Christina Aguilera on "Baby, It's Cold Outside", a duet with The Muppets, and Rod Stewart is featured on a song called "Merry Christmas, Baby" which samples the old Muppets song, "Mah Na, Mah Na".

--"Merry Christmas, Baby", Rod Stewart. Featuring duets with Mary J. Blige, Michael Buble, Cee Lo Green, and Ella Fitzgerald.

--"This Is Christmas", Welsh minx Katherine Jenkins - who came in second on "Dancing with the Stars" this past spring.  She released another holiday album earlier in October called "My Christmas", but the one that's out more recently includes "Santa Baby", "Away in the Manger", and "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)".

--"Holidays Rule" is a compilation album. Featuring rocking holiday tunes from Fun, The Shins, Paul McCartney, Punch Brothers, Andrew Bird, Calexico, and the Civil Wars.

--"Dreams Of Fireflies (On A Christmas Night)", Trans-Siberian Orchestra. If you need some more metal in your stocking – TSO is the way to go!

--"James Taylor at Christmas", James Taylor.

--JOHN TRAVOLTA and OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN hit the studio together for the first time in nearly 35 YEARS to record a holiday album called "This Christmas".  In addition to the cheesy title, it has a cheesy cover, and features cheesy guests - Barbra Streisand, Kenny G, Tony Bennett, James Taylor, Cliff Richard and Chick Corea.  The album comes out on November 13th.
