The City of Twin Falls announced that it will be closing the North Five Points intersection over the weekend so that crews can replace the ‘existing signal heads…with new, energy-efficient LED louvered heads’.
The new lights will be more visible and reduce maintenance costs. The new lights will be installed at the five points intersection of Blue Lakes Blvd, Addison Ave, and Shoshone Street.

The Public Works Department will be working on the upgrades beginning Sunday, June 22nd at 8 PM. They will work through the night and are expected to be finished with the project by 6 AM the next morning, Monday, June 23rd.
The good news is that this project will be done at night when traffic is typically at its lowest. Flaggers will be on site to help direct traffic as the intersection will be operating in all-red flashing mode.
Despite the timeframe of the project, delays can be expected, and drivers should watch for flaggers and construction signs.
