A group of teens in Southern Idaho have been arrested following a crime spree over the weekend.

Police say the kids stole various items, including 2 vehicles.

The news of the crimes and arrests was shared in a social media post by the Rexburg Police Department. Rexburg Police updated the post as events and new information happened.

They warned the public to remember to lock their vehicles and homes. They also asked the public to report suspicious activity.

According to the Rexburg Police Department, they began receiving calls of ‘two suspicious young people trying to get into houses and cars’ around the Everett Place apartments on Friday, March 7th.

A tablet is among the items stolen, along with a vehicle that was abandoned on train tracks and another that was found in Idaho Falls. The teens took off on foot when the first vehicle got stuck on train tracks.

Police used drones in the air and officers on foot, plus tips from the community, to eventually catch the 2 suspects. A third teen was eventually arrested in connection to the crimes.

Rexburg Police Encounter Wrong-Way Highway Driver in Southern Idaho

Police in Rexburg also dealt with a driver heading the wrong way on Highway 20 last week.

On Wednesday evening the wrong-way vehicle crashed into another vehicle causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Neither driver was reported injured, though the wrong-way driver admitted to 'having had plenty of alcohol' before driving.
