Southern Idaho Waterpark Hotel Officially Has a Clever New Name

I just went out to the construction site a few days ago and all that was there was a giant slab of concrete and a frame for a door. A lot has changed since then as you can see in these pictures - plus the hotel now has a name.

New Hotel With a Waterpark Being Built in Southern Idaho

I went to the construction site on November 14th, about a week ago, to see what the layout of the hotel and waterpark was going to look like. I'd seen pictures of the plans, but seeing it in person was a different experience. This place is going to be cool.

At that time, the hotel didn't have a name and there was a contest happening online asking for name ideas from the community. The winner was just announced and the hotel will be called 'Splash Canyon Hotel'.

In addition to a new name the construction site has walls going up. You can finally start to see what the final product will look like at 1740 Bridgeview Blvd in Twin Falls.

The name is so new that the social media sites and website are less than 24 hours old. On Facebook, the planned hotel experience is described as:

Perfectly designed for families, our hotel offers spacious accommodations and is a stone's throw from the spectacular Snake River Canyon and Shoshone Falls. Dive into adventure at our indoor waterpark, where fun awaits for guests of all ages.

The hotel website calls it 'The Ultimate Family-Friendly Getaway' and plans are still in place for it to be opened by then end of the summer in 2025.

What Will The Splash Canyon Hotel in Twin Falls Include

The hotel will have an indoor waterpark with two waterslides that are four stories tall and run outside the building. There will also be a large hot tub and pool play area for kids. Complimentary breakfast is part of the stay experience and they'll offer pizza...because everyone loves pizza.
