Video Allegedly Shows the Moments Before a Man Was Shot in Southern Idaho

Controversy over a shooting in Twin Falls over the weekend has residents debating the 'facts' being shared on social media.

Following the shooting, which sent one man to the hospital, the Twin Falls Police Department shared a post on Facebook asking for help from the community to help the investigation.

Police asked for information and video related to the shooting of the events that led up to it. TFPD reported another injury altercation about an hour before the shooting in the same area of town. Another adult male was taken to the hospital after that incident.

Investigating crimes can be difficult as detectives have to assess the facts and witness stories, along with the circumstances that led to the incidents. In the case of the shooting, the man with the gun claims it was self defense and has posted a video he hopes will prove it.

We won't share the video in this story due to the content which includes vulgar language and the moments before an injury crime was committed, but the video is posted to the Magic Valley Rants and Raves page under a story that was shared from KMVT.

In the video from a Ring doorbell, you can see a man and a woman talking to someone at the house. The woman claims to be on the phone with police as the man stands behind her. The couple claim to be looking for someone who was involved in a previous incident with someone named Jayden who was 'beat the F*** up' and 'can't even F***ing open his G** D*** eyes' and someone named Kylee or Kylee's brother.

The man in the home says he doesn't know anything about the situation or the people being mention by the couple outside, but the couple are adamant that the incident happened at 'this address'.

The man then moved from behind the woman and approached the man in the house arguing about whether there is an alley behind the house and repeatedly says 'what's going on?' The homeowner then says 'you better walk away, homie' and it appears he is immediately punched by the woman.

It then looks like the couple enter the house as you hear someone inside the home saying 'woah' repeatedly. It isn't clear from the video how many people were inside the home but it does sound like there is at least 1 other person, a female who says she doesn't know a Kylee, and maybe another man inside.

While the video does show at least 72 seconds before the shooting, it doesn't show what happened before and what happened inside the home.

Users on Facebook have been discussing the actions of both parties and how the situation could have been handled differently. But, what could have happened doesn't change what did happen, and police are still looking for information that includes facts about what did happen.
