In the news over the last few weeks there have been quite a few sightings of Bigfoot. All those sightings got me thinking about the lack of UFO sightings in recent years. It used to be that we would hear about a UFO sighting every few months...but I can't recall the last time I heard of one, and there's a reason.  Everyone's TOTALLY lost interest. Since 1988, the number of UFO sightings per year has dropped 98%. Dave Wood is the chairman of the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena.  And he says UFO sightings are happening so infrequently that, quote, "it's certainly a possibility that in 10 years, it will be a dead subject."

There are two main reasons.  One, the longer we go without having ANY proof of UFOs or alien contact, the less likely people are to believe it could still happen. And two, with the amount of cameras now, it would be rare for just one person to see a UFO.  Some surveillance camera or other person with an iPhone would capture it too.

And, ya know, since most UFO sightings are fake, all those cameras can provide instant evidence someone's lying.
